Heyyy guys!!! Merry almost Christmas! 🙂
A few nights ago, our friends Stephanie and Rachel came over to make ginger bread. We know that making ginger bread on Christmas is a huge tradition for you guys, but we had never done it before.
At first we were not sure if we were going to be able to pull it off, but it turned out pretty ok, I guess! Hahaha
Since we didn’t have time to buy the shapes we decided to go big and make a house! (yes, go big or go home, right?).
This is how it looked like:
So, here is the recipe in case you’d like to make it as well.
12 oz – Plain Flour
4 oz – Margarine
1 – Beaten egg
6 oz – brown sugar
4 tbsp – golden syrup
2 tsp – ginger
2 tsp – baking powder
Melt the sugar, butter and syrup over a low heat
Sift flour, ginger and baking powder in a bowl
Add the egg and syrup mixture and mix together well
Put in the fridge in cling film for 30 minutes
Roll out the dough, cut the shapes and put in a tray
Set the oven to 190C and bake for 10-15 minutes, leave to cool.
Send us a picture of your creation! We would love to see it.
And don’t forget to subscribe!
